Bring Them Here Art

My name is Isabelle Lewis, and I am a year 11 student at PLC. I am passionate about art, and my current platform is oil on canvas.

I believe that the current Australian policy of locking up asylum seekers and refugees on Manus and Nauru Islands is inhumane and cruel.

Thus, I have produced a number of artworks under the banner of #BringThemHere. These pieces form a collection with the theme of what it feels like to be wrenched from your home, fleeing desperate circumstances, and being unwelcome in so many places, while having to deal with loss and loneliness and rejection.

Sometimes we have to speak out in the only way we can. My way is through art.
